Movie review hitch
Positive Elements Hitch makes a point to build up the self-esteem of his clients. Will Smith Hitch is an amiable if rote romantic comedy that maximizes the charms of its quartet of leads.
Michael Rapaport as Smith's best friend lasts one scene.

It's perfect for a 2nd or 3rd date or anything after. While Hitch stresses chivalry to his clients and specifically dumps one when he finds out all the man wants is sex, the movie itself assumes that a series of "good" dates will eventually end in the bedroom.
Hitch follows the common motto of "those who can't, teach.

There is some profanity, including "f--k. It could be argued that the actor breaks new ground here by lending his talents to a romantic comedy released in February, not July instead of another action romp, and the film does have its moments.
It's as fulfilling as an order of Chinese takeout.

It could be argued that the actor breaks new ground here by lending his talents to a romantic comedy released in February, not July instead of another action romp, and the film does have its moments. Nor does its central character, Alex Hitchins, the New York "date doctor" who helps men woo women they'd have no hope of securing on their own, fill my feminist heart with joy. Mendes' best friend Julie Ann Emery is the movie's most consistent, and appealing, character, and Jeffrey Donovan as a misogynist is sufficiently smarmy in a key role. Doesn't even try. Nothing comes of his and her interest in the enterprise, which is replaced by their flaws as the reason for their attraction. Allegra Valletta is a sweetheart, too, and not as unapoproachable as she seems. Not only does it follow the expected trajectory of Cupid's arrow by piercing the heart, but it brushes against the funny bone as well. It's not that I dislike it; it's that it just doesn't seem entirely necessary. Drug and Alcohol Content Hitch does much of his work in nightclubs, and there are frequent mentions of various alcoholic drinks.
