I feel strongly that it is more important that I receive a more business- and management-oriented education than a strictly computer-based education. Other students are looking to switch careers entirely, and do not have a strong background in information technology.
If given the opportunity to join your Information Management program, I will be able to utilize my extensive background in computers, while learning additional skills and techniques that will be greatly beneficial to my future career development.

Also, because of my desire to gain business-related skills, I have taken elective courses related to business, economics, management, and marketing. Tasks include loading statistical data reported through Air Traffic Reporting Forms into the integrated statistical database, participating in the verification and validation of reported data as guided, and assist in the development of electronic tools to accelerate the verification process, contribute in the development of business analysis tools and the automation of monthly air traffic monitoring. The curriculum was exhaustive and it was more than enough to give any one a detailed knowledge of any subject. From the tremendous research options available here, I am confident that I will have the opportunity to work professionally with faculty on research projects and at the same time, I can make my research-work more meaningful. The ever increasing field of applications with management always fascinates me so I want to continue my academic pursuit in this direction. I would like to add that the essence of University education lies in the synergetic relationship between the student and his department. Your university is a confluence of people from varied culture, nationality, religion, race and ideology. The essence of university education lies in the success of the symbolic relationship between the student and his department. In my twelfth grade, as part of my Physics project, I had constructed logic gates and simple latches using basic circuit elements and was greatly amazed by the potential of the electrical and electronics stream. In my undergraduate studies, I have benefited from the breadth of COMSATS University syllabi content that has given me a comprehensive exposure to the core areas of Mechanical Engineering and a strong conceptual understanding of the same, but it is the one year course at National Institute of Information Technology NIIT , Hyderabad that helped me gain excellent fundamentals of Information Technology through a well-structured curriculum. Wherein we can easily access and use whatever information is needed. A wealth of information can be stored on computers, and today the majority of businesses use computers to store, organize and analyze important business information.
I would like to add that the essence of University education lies in the synergetic relationship between the student and his department. In order to be successful a person must not only possess skilled knowledge on a particular area but the person must also have managerial skills.
